Hi, I’m writing this to let you know that I had a great discussion last night with my fellow Young Žižekians (Andrew, Nick and Dave). This is the first time that the four of us have actually been able to film a conversation together. We discuss Jonah Hill’s new film ‘Stutz’ now streaming on Netflix. The movie is about Jonah’s therapist Phil Stutz and his therapeutic technique. This was the perfect opportunity for us to chat about Lacanian psychoanalysis and what makes it different from therapy, ego psychology, etc. In other words, this was our Lacanian review of the film and of the therapeutic method of Phil Stutz. For those of you interested, here’s the link to the discussion on Nick and Andrew’s YouTube channel Que Vuoi? (their channel is currently devoted to a systematic reading of the seminar of Jacques Lacan).
