I’ll post a full recommended reading list when I have a chance. For now, I mainly recommend reading chapter one and chapter three (especially the sections on capitalism) in Deleuze & Guattari’s ‘Anti-Oedipus’. I also recommend utilizing Eugene Holland’s commentary on the book. For Bataille, you could read ‘Eroticism’ and /or ‘The Accursed Share’, but if you’re looking for a general introduction to his work, then go with William Pawlett’s excellent book. For Marx, it’s a good idea to camp out in chapters four through seven in ‘Capital’. By the way, I’m happy to hear you’ll be taking the course. It’ll be a great time.
